About Us

OUR MISSION

We are dedicated to providing scholarship assistance based on financial need, that will serve and empower Pass Area young people with the knowledge and importance of agriculture and athletics in life and the pursuit of their educational or career goals.

OUR HISTORY

The Cherry Valley Agriculture Academy (CVAAA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit co-founded in 2018 by Ray “Coach” Curtis, a Banning Graduate, and David Curtis, a Beaumont Graduate. The father-and-son team have been a part of the Pass Area for over 50 years and have joined together their Bronco and Cougar skills, knowledge and abilities to give back and help Pass Area kids in the areas of Athletics, Agriculture and Financial Assistance.

OUR GOALS

  • Provide a variety of agriculture and athletic activities for young people .
  • Assist students in their mastery of the fundamentals of various sports and career opportunities.
  • Introduce students to the importance of agriculture and career opportunities.
  • Provide scholarship assistance to Pass Area Students based on need.
  • Create a synergy between one’s knowledge of agriculture and athletic education, and stressing the importance each one plays in the success of a career and of life.

OUR VISION

The CVAAA After School/Weekends/Summer Academies will be much more than the typical Athletic Camp or Agriculture field trip. The Academies will focus on mastery of the fundamentals to help youth reach their maximum potential and introduce them to related careers and core values useful for a success in life and careers.
There are three academies available. Agriculture, Athletic and The David Curtis Short Game Academy. Athletic Academy is open to boys/girls grades 4th-12th; Agriculture Academy is open to boys/girls 7th-12th; The Short Game Academy is open to all ability levels. (Partial Participant Registration is tax deductible.)

LEARNING CENTER

The CVAAA Learning Center will focus on training participants in core values as shown in the Wheel of Success, for a successful career in agriculture, athletics and in life.
